About the Role the employer is seeking a qualified and experienced Legal Counsel to join its legal team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting business lines across various GCC countries, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The Legal Counsel will handle corporate, advisory, contract, and dispute resolution matters. Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research and provide comprehensive legal advice and support on transactions and commercial matters. Identify and assess legal risks, developing strategies to mitigate them. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Collaborate with management and business units to ensure legal requirements are met. Support business units in communicating with relevant authorities, associations, and external stakeholders to maintain a business-friendly regulatory environment across GCC operating countries. Represent the company in litigation, other legal proceedings, and negotiations. Stay informed about changes in the legal landscape and industry trends. Develop and maintain a high-quality resource pool of external law firms and strong relationships with external legal advisors and partners. Undertake business trips to Bahrain and other GCC countries as required. Qualifications and Experience Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience for this role. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are considered advantageous: Experience in handling Bahraini legal matters. A diverse professional background, including experience in law firms, in-house legal teams, government, and/or judicial institutions (*, courts or prosecutorial bodies). Overseas education experience in an English-speaking country. Experience working with or advising multinational companies. Work Environment This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring travel to Bahrain and other GCC countries when necessary
