Sr. Contracts Engineer (Oil and Gas)

Job description

Lead all contract management activities for large-scale Oil & Gas projects. Ensure contractual compliance, mitigate commercial risks, and protect company interests. Work closely with project, procurement, legal, and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities: draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors; manage contract administration including change orders, variations, claims, and amendments; ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and relevant laws/regulations; identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks; advise project teams on contract interpretation, obligations, and dispute resolution; maintain accurate contract records and documentation; collaborate with legal, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 15+ years of experience in contracts management for Oil & Gas or EPC projects
• strong knowledge of standard contract forms (FIDIC, NEC, EPC, PSA) and commercial law
• proven expertise in claims management, change orders, and dispute resolution
• excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• proficient in MS Office and contract management systems
