Logistics Officer

Job description

Track suppliers and ensure timely delivery to customers as per the company’s delivery commitment to improve cash conversion cycle. Pay special attention to orders with Letter of Credit or Liquidated Damage, ensuring delivery and document submission to the bank as required without extra cost. Knowledge of import/export clearance requirements in the Middle East and Africa, especially product regulations (ESMA/ECAS, COC, SABER) and ministry approvals such as TRA, MOFAIC, chemical, etc., to facilitate smooth customs clearance. Arrange all logistical documents according to customer contracts and comply with local customs and VAT authorities. Optimize shipping costs by negotiating with freight forwarders and arrange shipments per project requirements. Thorough knowledge of the latest ICC Incoterms‑2020 and handle all shipments accordingly. Be a strong team player, share logistical updates and regulations with sales and project teams, and accept challenges as needed. Maintain proper documentation for all import/export shipments. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, proficient in MS Office and SAP.
