Interior Designer

Job description

Responsible for conceptualizing and designing interior spaces to meet client needs. Create mood boards and visual presentations to convey design ideas. Conduct spatial assessments and develop layout plans to maximize functionality and ensure safe flow. Research and source materials, furnishings, and finishes, providing samples and specifications to clients. Meet with clients to discuss preferences, budget, and objectives while maintaining the employer communication. Prepare and manage project budgets, estimate costs, and negotiate with suppliers. Oversee project execution from concept to completion and coordinate with contractors and vendors. Stay updated on local building codes and regulations to ensure compliance. Conduct post‑completion site visits to verify client satisfaction and address any issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
• 3-5 years of interior design experience managing projects from concept to completion
• proficiency in design software AutoCAD, SketchUp, Corona, Revit, 3ds Max
• strong knowledge of materials and fabrics used in interior design
• proficiency in creating mood boards, color schemes, material and finish selections
• strong creative and artistic skills
• excellent communication and presentation abilities
• attention to detail and keen aesthetic sense
• ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• problem‑solving skills and adaptability to changing client demands
• licensure or certification by a recognized board preferred.
