Job description

Responsible for designing and planning wireless networks (2G/4G/5G) focusing on coverage, capacity and quality of experience. Performs network dimensioning to estimate cells/sites/sectors and forecast radio resources based on traffic growth. Conducts link budget calculations and optimizes designs for urban, suburban, rural and indoor environments. Applies propagation models to determine site placement, antenna height and azimuth. Utilizes RF design tools such as Atoll, Planet or Mentum for simulation, coverage prediction, interference analysis and reporting. Specifies RF hardware (antennas, amplifiers, TRXs, RRUs, power supplies) and coordinates with procurement and deployment. Tunes parameters and analyzes KPIs using drive test and field data. Provides technical guidance to junior staff and collaborates with planning, RAN engineering and field operations during rollout and troubleshooting. Interfaces with customers to gather requirements, present design proposals and ensure solutions meet regulatory and business needs. Stays updated on wireless industry trends including 5G features, network slicing and IoT

Requirements

• Practical knowledge of propagation models (Hata, COST-231, Okumura etc)
• Experience with drive test/optimization tools
• Proficiency with RF design and planning tools (Atoll, Planet, Mentum or similar)
• Experience in link budget analysis and site dimensioning
• Knowledge of RF hardware specifications (antennas, amplifiers, TRXs, RRUs)
• Familiarity with RAN technologies (GSM, LTE, 5G NR) and spectrum regulations
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Documentation and technical presentation abilities
• Ability to mentor and lead teams
• Minimum 10+ years experience in RF design and optimization for mobile networks
