Sales Engineer

Job description

Provides sales support to sales managers and engineers by providing technical support, assisting with product selection and quotes, assisting with order processing, and expediting orders. Supports existing clients and new client prospects. Develops take-off plans and specifications, develops and prices estimates, writes proposal and bids for job.. Often sets and achieves daily operational objectives with some direct influence on others within area. Occasionally sets and achieves operational objectives that have a direct impact on achieving results within the region. Influence is often used to persuade both internal and external parties who are willing to reach agreement to accept new concepts, practices, and methods. Regularly correct or resolve issues or problems in existing systems and processes. Makes minor changes. Often adapts or enhances the quality or value of existing methods; Improving performance as part of daily activities. Problems may be only vaguely defined and require understanding and consideration of other areas of the business. Often uses broad theory and principles within an advanced technical/operational system or practices. Sometimes uses advanced knowledge and skills within a particular discipline to integrate theory and principles with organizational practices. Individual contributor, no direct responsibility to lead others. Application of knowledge is narrow (local) and limited to locations within the country or neighboring countries with a similar culture.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum suggested experience is 3 years. A 3-year bachelor's degree is assessed in the context of a standard size
