F&B Coordinator

Job description

The role includes meeting with the group coordinator/host prior to functions, making introductions, and ensuring that all arrangements are agreeable. It also includes reading and analyzing banquet event orders to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc. Responding to and trying to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements is also required. Following all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager, and completing safety training and certifications are essential. Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also necessary. Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation are crucial. Speaking with others using clear and professional language, and answering telephones using appropriate etiquette are also important. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, and supporting the team to reach common goals are vital. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards is also required. Reading and visually verifying information in a variety of formats, visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects, and standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period or for an entire work shift are also necessary. Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping are also required. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors is also essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No supervisory experience
• No license or certification.
