Director of Strategy

Job description

The Director of Strategy at the employer will establish and lead the Strategy Management Office (SMO), coordinate quarterly business reviews and strategic planning cycles, and track execution of company-wide initiatives to ensure departmental accountability. The role supports corporate strategy development and execution across current and future markets, building frameworks for international expansion. It partners with the investments team to evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, and venture opportunities, and prepares board materials and strategic presentations for investors. The director leads the strategy team, strengthens internal capabilities in planning, execution management, and analytical problem‑solving, and works closely with executive leadership and board members. This position offers the chance to shape strategy at a leading growth‑stage company with direct exposure to senior leadership and institutional shareholders.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, transformation, or related field
• experience building or leading a Strategy Management Office or similar execution function
• demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from strategy through implementation with measurable business outcomes
• background in high‑growth, scale‑up, PE‑backed, VC‑backed, or pre‑IPO environments
• exposure to M&A, partnerships, investment evaluation, or market expansion initiatives
• experience preparing and presenting materials for senior executives or boards
• fluent in Arabic and English
