Manager - Design Management

Job description

We are looking for a Manager – Design Management to lead the design and development of innovative projects that meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetics. In this role you will oversee multidisciplinary design teams, collaborate with key stakeholders, and ensure successful project delivery from concept through completion. Lead and mentor architects and designers, provide technical direction, and develop design concepts, plans, and specifications aligned with project objectives. Work closely with internal departments, consultants, and external stakeholders to define requirements and deliver integrated design solutions. Manage the full design lifecycle, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality compliance. Review and approve design proposals, drawings, and technical documentation. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to support efficient execution. Stay updated on emerging design trends, technologies, and industry innovations and apply best practices. Ensure compliance with regulations, design codes, and company standards. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, continuous improvement, and professional development within the design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, urban design, or related field
• minimum of 5-7 years progressive experience in design management
• experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing complex projects
• strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements
• proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities
• knowledge of sustainable design principles and environmental best practices (preferred).
