Security Engineer Intern

the employer is hiring a Security Engineer Intern for Riyadh. The role focuses on building, integrating, and operating tools and platforms that power security operations. Responsibilities include supporting integration of new data sources and tools into the security stack; assisting in configuring and maintaining log collection, detection, and alerting pipelines across on‑premises and cloud environments; helping deploy forensic and evidence‑collection tools during incidents; supporting rollout of vulnerability scanning tools and tracking findings; contributing to securing cloud infrastructure and managing identity, access, and configuration; writing scripts to automate data flow between security systems; researching and prototyping new tools or workflows; and preparing clear technical documentation and reports

Requirements

• proficient in Python
• proficiency in Linux
• experience in cybersecurity
• familiarity with Git
• effective communication
• risk management
• solid understanding of networking and operating systems (Windows/Linux)
• scripting or programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• interest in APIs and system integration
• strong analytical mindset
• good technical documentation skills
