Job description

Midway Contracts seeks an Agricultural Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. The role involves studying land and soil characteristics, designing irrigation and drainage networks, selecting suitable agricultural machinery, and preparing specialized technical reports. Full‑time position requiring 5 to 10 years of experience. Responsibilities: analyze physical and chemical soil properties, inspect plant, soil, and irrigation water samples and interpret results, test fertilizers and assess crop response, select appropriate irrigation systems and design their layouts, supervise installation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage networks, evaluate and improve system efficiency, identify suitable farm equipment and develop operation and maintenance programs, advance work methods and stay updated with agricultural technologies, prepare and archive technical documents and reports according to company policies

Requirements

• 5+ years experience
• deep knowledge of agricultural soil properties and irrigation/drainage systems
• proficient in studying land and soil characteristics
• proficient in designing irrigation and drainage networks
• proficient in selecting and maintaining appropriate agricultural machinery
• proficient in preparing specialized technical reports
• strong analytical skills for soil, water, and plant analysis
• ability to design and implement irrigation and drainage plans
• excellent technical documentation skills
• ability to keep up with technological advancements in agriculture
