Job description

The role focuses on compliance and safe, efficient deck operations. Responsibilities include managing deck, cargo and cargo safety, stability and ballast, executing the safety management system, supervising crew, supporting the Master in overall vessel operations, coordinating with technical and shore teams, ensuring compliance with international conventions and company policies, reviewing work locations per IMCA guidelines, planning and organizing deck crew and anchor handling equipment, monitoring rest hours, supervising training and evaluation of deck personnel, ensuring vessel safety during watches, implementing the Permit to Work system, reporting as required by the Integrated Management System, leading the stability section and ballast operations, and overseeing fire, safety, security and emergency equipment with crew training and refusing unsafe work
