Principal Specialist, Exploration & Project Development & Engineering Data Domain

Job description

The Principal Specialist shapes strategic management, governance, and value realization of Exploration and PDE data assets. Ensures subsurface, geological, geophysical, drilling, reservoir and related technical data are trusted, accessible, secure, and aligned with business priorities. Develops a scalable data domain framework, improves data quality, delivers data products for decision making, and drives advanced analytics, AI, and digital initiatives. Builds strong partnerships between business functions, digital teams, and external partners to enhance collaboration and enterprise performance.

• knowledge of petroleum development and evaluation data
• experience in data architecture and data modeling
• proficiency in data product development and lifecycle management
• knowledge of strategic planning and digital transformation
• experience delivering business value through data
• proficiency in risk management and performance improvement
• strong communication, presentation, and change management skills
• ability to engage stakeholders and negotiate
• cross‑functional leadership experience
• 10–15 years of experience in exploration, petroleum development, data management or digital transformation environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management or related field
• demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional data initiatives and delivering business‑focused data solutions
• experience in large energy, mining, natural resources or industrial organizations.
