Safety Officer

Job description

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring occupational safety and health standards in establishments according to the regulations and laws issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. His role includes risk assessment in the work environment, investigating accidents, and ensuring that workers wear personal protective equipment to minimize work injuries. He also contributes to spreading a culture of prevention and implementing emergency and evacuation plans within government and private institutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering or Occupational Health or equivalent
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent (preferred)
• At least two years of experience in a professional safety role
• Risk assessment and management
• Implementation of occupational safety and health standards (OSHA/NEBOSH)
• Accident investigation and reporting
