Senior Mining Engineer

Job description

The role involves leading or supporting safe and efficient mining and processing operations across surface and/or underground environments. It aims to strengthen HSE performance through risk assessments, safe systems of work, incident prevention, and audit readiness. It also includes driving operational performance via production planning, KPI management, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives. It entails providing technical input to mine planning and scheduling, drill-and-blast performance, geotechnical/ground control, and ventilation strategies (as applicable). It aims to optimize processing plant performance through troubleshooting and improvement projects (where applicable). It includes overseeing maintenance and reliability strategies for mobile and fixed plant assets, including shutdown planning and asset performance improvement. It also involves managing contractors and service providers to ensure safe execution, quality delivery, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
