Rig Material Expeditor

Job description

the employer is seeking a Rig Material Expeditor in Saudi Arabia. Responsible for ensuring efficient delivery and management of drilling materials to various rig locations. Supports project logistics operations. Adheres to all Saudi Aramco, D&WO and international HSE standards, policies and controls. Monitors progress and shipment of drilling material and inputs order status information into the system. Maintains material and parts inventory and status to expedite movement between production areas according to predetermined schedules. Reads production schedules, inventory reports and work orders to determine material type, quantity, stock availability and order priority. Distributes materials to production areas manually or using handcart, hand truck or forklift, and may drive a truck to remote sites. Reviews daily workload queue to prioritize orders based on delivery dates. Consolidates orders by vendors to minimize contracts and maintains constant contact with major vendors. Enters and maintains current order/LDOR status in the system. Identifies potential delays early and advises as needed. Reviews conflicting delivery requirements to ensure cost‑effective delivery to Saudi Aramco. Monitors material status, delivery and inspection certificates. Advises supervisor on vendor performance periodically. Prepares written reports of poor vendor performance. Maintains records and performs related clerical duties. Prepares tables, indices, charts, graphs and visual aids for presentations. Assists in preparing various reports as requested by the superintendent/supervisor. Works collaboratively in a team and handles multiple tasks. Willing to adapt to the dynamic offshore work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• relevant certification is a plus acceptable to Saudi Aramco
• 2-3 years experience in material expediting or inventory management, preferably in the oil and gas sector
• proficient in using Microsoft Office and materials management software
• strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• familiarity with HSE standards and procedures related to materials management
