Role: The Rooms Controller ensures smooth daily room operations by managing room allocations, preparing for arrivals, coordinating with operational departments, and supporting an outstanding guest journey from pre-arrival to departure. Responsibilities include reviewing upcoming arrivals and departures, pre‑assigning rooms based on guest preferences and operational needs, identifying VIP and the employer One Rewards members, preparing group arrivals, coordinating room readiness with Housekeeping and Engineering, monitoring room availability and category balance, escalating inventory or overbooking issues, supporting mobile check‑in/out, verifying reservation details, following up on guest requests, monitoring open folios and payment risks, assisting Front Office with room moves and reservation changes, reconciling system discrepancies, handling guest concerns and service recovery, tracking guest feedback, preparing daily operational reports, coordinating show rooms and inspections, maintaining front office supplies, collaborating with other departments for smooth operations, safeguarding guest information, and adhering to hotel policies, brand standards, and health & safety requirements.

Requirements

• Previous Front Office, Reservations or Rooms Division experience within a hotel environment
• experience in a luxury or upscale hospitality environment preferred
• strong understanding of room inventory, reservations and Front Office operations
• familiarity with hotel property management and reservation systems
• strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• excellent communication and coordination skills
• strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
• ability to remain calm and organized in a fast‑paced operational environment
• good understanding of guest service and luxury hospitality standards
• strong written and spoken English
• additional languages an advantage
• flexibility to work different shifts based on operational requirements.
