Sustainability Associate (CER) 1

Job description

We are a world leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) delivering high quality services to help clients meet quality, safety, environmental protection and social responsibility challenges. As a Sustainability Associate within the employer MCA you will support client projects and internal initiatives to measure, manage and improve environmental and social performance. You will contribute to sustainability service delivery while developing technical and advisory expertise under senior guidance. Embedded in the local area team you will support sustainability report assurance, GHG verification, CBAM advisory, ESG reporting and related certification services. Responsibilities include supporting ISAE 3000/3410 assurance engagements, assisting carbon footprint assessments (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol), contributing to ESG reporting advisory and IFRS S1/S2 gap assessments, providing CBAM pre‑verification advisory for EU exporters, collecting and reviewing client sustainability data, drafting sections of assurance reports, preparing proposals and client‑facing materials, and participating in regional knowledge‑sharing initiatives. Additionally you will simplify sustainability complexity across carbon accounting, climate adaptation, circularity, renewable energy, supply‑chain resilience and ESG reporting, leveraging BV proprietary tools and AI solutions, and collaborate across teams to assess risks, ensure compliance and solve critical sustainability challenges.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business or related field
• preferred STEM background
• environmental science or sustainability management
• chemical, civil, industrial or environmental engineering
• energy systems, climate science or renewable energy
• business, economics or data analytics with sustainability focus
• recent graduate or up to 2 years professional experience
• prior ESG or sustainability experience appreciated but not required
• familiarity with carbon footprinting, LCA, energy audits, ESG reporting or supply chain sustainability
• knowledge of local regulatory landscape in Morocco, South Africa, Qatar or Saudi Arabia
• analytical and problem‑solving skills
• effective communication and stakeholder engagement
• English B2+ minimum
• proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn BV digital tools
• strong report writing skills
• Arabic and English required.
