Procurement Specialist

Job description

The role focuses on managing procurement processes from suppliers to supply. Duties include preparing and following up on purchase orders, managing negotiation of contracts and prices, and comparing offers. An overview of the profession: Assessing the needs and requirements of various organizational units for materials, surveying the market with the aim of reaching the best purchasing prices from suppliers, supervising the receipt and evaluation of offers from service suppliers, building a database of materials and suppliers’ prices, and preparing, displaying and archiving specialized documents and reports related to the field of sales. Typical tasks for this profession: • Evaluating the needs and requirements of various organizational units for different materials and setting purchasing priorities accordingly. • Conducting specialized studies, analyzes and market surveys with the aim of reaching the best purchasing prices from suppliers and ensuring the required quality of materials in accordance with regulating policies and procedures. • Supervising the processes and procedures for receiving offers from service suppliers and evaluating them in coordination with other administrative units and ensuring their conformity with the procedures approved in the administration. • Building a database of the prices of frequently consumed materials and their most important suppliers, and maintaining integrated files on various purchasing operations in accordance with the approved system. • Prepare specialized documents and reports related to sales, provide appropriate recommendations and appropriate solutions, display them, clarify them, and save them in their database in accordance with approved policies and procedures

Requirements

• Saudi nationality
• Diploma qualification in procurement, business administration or supply chain
• Practical experience in procurement
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Experience in dealing with suppliers and requesting and comparing offers
• Negotiation and contract and price management skills
• Ability to prepare and follow purchase orders through supply
• Knowledge of procurement and supplier management procedures and policies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
• High skills in communication, organization, follow-up and reporting
• Experience in ERP systems
