IBM DataPower Integration Designer

Job description

The role involves attending business and technical meetings to gather and analyze requirements. Conduct technical feasibility assessments and propose optimal integration solutions with the core team. Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents per standards. Design secure, scalable, high‑performing integration solutions using IBM DataPower. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout implementation. Collaborate with business, architects, development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of SOA, enterprise integration, and middleware concepts
• Hands‑on experience designing IBM DataPower integration solutions
• Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, REST APIs, and XSLT
• Experience designing DataPower services such as Multi‑Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy, and XML Firewall
• Good understanding of security concepts including OAuth, SSL/TLS, AAA, and certificate management
• Preferred experience in the telecom domain
• Exposure to IBM API Connect or other API Management platforms
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
