Health, Safety and Environment Officer, Eastern Region

Job description

Responsible for implementing health, safety and environment policies in the Eastern Province. Monitors and analyses HSE performance indicators, prepares incident and near‑miss reports, conducts workplace inspections and compliance audits, and organizes safety awareness programs. Handles incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implements corrective and preventive actions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science or related field
• 3-5 years relevant professional experience in occupational health, safety, environmental compliance or HSE analysis
• relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA
• strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies and HSE compliance requirements
• experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions
• ability to monitor, analyze and report HSE performance indicators including incident rates, near misses and safety observations
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis and HSE reporting
• knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
• familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems preferred
• experience conducting workplace inspections, compliance audits and safety awareness programs
• strong analytical, communication, reporting and problem‑solving skills
