Health, Safety and Sustainability Manager

Job description

Health, Safety and Sustainability Manager at the employer in the Eastern region, reporting to the Hotel Manager and responsible for leading health, safety and sustainability initiatives at the hotel to ensure a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible operation. The role includes implementing health, safety and security policies, procedures and programs, promoting a culture of safety awareness, accountability and proactive risk management, and conducting regular risk assessments, safety inspections and audits. The successful candidate will also provide training and awareness programs related to workplace safety, fire prevention, emergency response and security procedures, and work closely with the Engineering, People, Culture and Operations departments to ensure safe working practices are maintained. Requirements

• Strong knowledge of professional health and safety systems, environmental practices and sustainability initiatives.
• Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, investigations and compliance reviews.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence culture and drive compliance across multiple departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
• Preferred qualifications include NEBOSH, IOSH, LEED or equivalent.
