HSSE Officer

Job description

The officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining the health and safety of employees. Responsibilities include conducting periodic safety rounds around the facility, ensuring plant and warehouse safety and hygiene, monitoring the use of personal protective equipment, checking the safe operation of machinery, maintaining firefighting equipment, and keeping necessary records for HSE inspection activities. This also includes monitoring hot works, coordinating visitor movements, conducting safety and first aid training, participating in evacuation drills, ensuring access to fire extinguishers, taking fire preventive measures, monitoring drainage conditions, and maintaining first aid equipment.

Requirements

• Experience in HSE field
• Proficient in using personal protective equipment
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety programs
• Proficient in English
• Experience in conducting risk assessments
• Proficient in computer use
• Experience in firefighting and rescue
• Proficient in conducting safety and first aid training
• Knowledge of HSE laws and regulations
• Experience in hazardous waste management
• Proficient in Arabic
• 5+ years of experience
