Principal Platforms Manager

Job description

Responsible for planning and driving end-to-end management of large programs or multiple concurrent projects and coordinating interdependencies. Oversees multiple inter‑dependent programs that may span several years and affect one or more functions or a larger project. Manages all aspects of the assigned program throughout its lifecycle to ensure delivery within defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints. Ensures strategic and appropriate resource allocation. Leads multidisciplinary teams of various levels, vendors and clients to create and deploy successful programs.

Requirements

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements for third‑party platform delivery
• Document, prioritize and align requirements with business objectives
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and work with technical teams for clarity and feasibility
• Participate in evaluation and selection of third‑party vendors and assess capabilities, offerings and track records
• Conduct due diligence including financial stability and compliance history
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering timelines, resources and deliverables
• Monitor project progress, manage risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee integration and implementation of third‑party platforms into existing systems
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth deployment and minimal disruption
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during integration and implementation phases
• Coordinate training sessions and provide support to end‑users for platform adoption
• Prepare user guides, FAQs and support materials
• Ensure platforms comply with regulatory requirements and security standards
• Implement measures to protect sensitive data and mitigate security risks
• Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks
• Identify process improvement opportunities and incorporate stakeholder feedback
• Apply best practices and innovative solutions to improve delivery efficiency
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and provide status, risk and issue updates
• Prepare and present project reports to senior management
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and support
• Enforce compliance with information security policies and procedures
• Hold a tertiary qualification from an internationally or regionally recognized institution
• Preferred project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE, Agile/Scrum
• 8+ years of relevant experience including at least 1 year as a program manager handling multiple work streams
• At least 3 years as a project manager with end‑to‑end experience
