Senior Software Engineer - Ledger

Job description

Your Role: Design, implement, and maintain the core systems and services at the employer that power millions of users trading billions of dollars in assets. The Ledger team builds a modern ledger system that provides a complete, accurate view of all activity in every account, supporting financial reporting, decision‑making, and compliance. Collaborate with finance, operations, and product teams to deliver high‑impact features, build backend components with integrity, maintainability, scalability, and stability, own delivery from design to deployment, and work with engineering teams to improve system health.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience working on systems at scale
• strong problem‑solver with proactive mindset
• collaborator capable of aligning technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• comfortable working heads‑down or tag‑teaming
• strong coding skills, preferably Go
• ability to debug issues or anticipate and avoid problems
• experience with IDLs (e.g., protobuf)
• experience with RPC frameworks (e.g., gRPC)
• experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP)
• experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• experience in financial services or accounting (Nice-to-Have)
• experience with distributed systems/databases (Nice-to-Have)
• experience with event‑driven systems and messaging brokers like Redpanda (Nice-to-Have)
