Reservations Manager

Job description

Responsible for seeking and managing sales opportunities related to reservations. Manages and provides training and work tasks for reservation sales staff. Actively works to sell every business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunities. Achieves personal and team revenue goals. Responsible for enhancing customer loyalty by providing excellent service throughout each customer's experience

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• understanding of markets and revenue maximization
• identifies new reservation sales opportunities to achieve personal and property revenue goals
• closes the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs
• performs daily reservation sales activities
• responds to reservation sales opportunities coming to properties outside the scope of parameters
• uses negotiation skills and creative sales abilities to close businesses and negotiate contracts
• uses sales resources and administrative/support staff effectively
• assists in monitoring group booking expectations data
• coordinates with sales and conference services to process room lists and reservation cards
• assists in monitoring the accuracy of reservation sales orders within tracking systems
• tracks no-show reservations and processing fees as needed
• verifies daily arrivals to ensure that all necessary billing instructions are applied to reservations
• manages waitlist and prioritizes contact order on waitlist
• prepares work orders and maintenance
• provides exceptional customer service
• provides customer service to increase account share
• provides excellent customer service that agrees with the brand's daily service basics
• sets a positive example for guest relationships
• handles guest complaints and tracks disputes
