Senior H&S Engineer

Job description

the employer is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Engineer for a major landmark development project in Riyadh that includes design, enabling works and main construction of a large‑scale destination with iconic assets, hospitality facilities and supporting infrastructure. The role involves collating, analysing and submitting HSE data, generating daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports and dashboards, demonstrating safe personal behaviour and representing the employer on site, ensuring HSE deliverables from consultants and contractors are prepared, reviewed, approved and implemented, following up on close‑out actions, conducting monthly office assessments, supporting HSE assurance activities, organizing and attending contractor HSE meetings and preparing minutes, delivering HSE orientations, providing HSE awareness training, supporting incident investigations, reviewing first‑aid, near‑miss and injury data, monitoring overall HSE performance, liaising with client representatives, promoting a positive HSE culture, being flexible with work hours for shift and weekend coverage, and performing other related responsibilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent qualification
• minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a similar senior HSE role
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent
• strong knowledge of construction HSE management, assurance, reporting, inspections and incident investigation
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ability to analyse HSE data and prepare clear, accurate reports
• strong organizational, coordination and follow‑up skills
• ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• experience with HSE data gathering, trend analysis, dashboards and performance reporting
• strong presentation, meeting facilitation and report‑writing skills
• ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multicultural, demanding project environment.
