HSE Site Coordinator

Job description

The HSE Specialist drives a strong safety culture and ensures operational compliance across facility operations. The role maintains workplace safety standards, leads continuous improvement through 5S, manages incident reporting, coordinates safety training, and ensures full compliance with Saudi Arabian HSE legislation and the employer corporate standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining high housekeeping levels and implementing 5S with quarterly audits; conducting daily safety walk‑throughs and logging findings in Sphera; reviewing local standards and informing supervisors and top management; holding monthly HSE committee meetings and weekly toolbox talks with reports; reporting all near‑misses, first‑aid, environmental, fire and vehicular incidents to SPHERA; reviewing SPHERA reports and regularly updating the HSE register; leading environmental, health and safety activities with strong leadership and communication; conducting rigorous incident investigations focusing on prevention and root‑cause analysis; coordinating safety training for all staff; developing and delivering new‑hire safety orientation; investigating and maintaining records of work‑related injuries or illnesses, providing statistical analysis and supporting management in safety measures; co‑chairing the Joint Health and Safety Committee and coordinating activities and recommendations; performing monthly workplace safety audits and establishing measurable standards for continuous improvement; coordinating emergency evacuation procedures, training and drills; ensuring accurate and timely submission of environmental reports for air, storm‑water and sanitary permits

Requirements

• NEBOSH International General Certificate in OHS
• detailed knowledge of ISO‑9001, ISO‑14001 and ISO‑45001
• at least 2 years of relevant experience
• MHRSD professional certificate (Kawader)
• excellent knowledge of Saudi Arabia health, safety and environment legislation
• proficiency in Excel
• first‑aid knowledge
• effective communication skills
• compliance awareness
