Job description

Bacteriology technicians provide technical assistance in researching and testing bacteria using laboratory equipment. They collect and analyse data for experiments, compile reports and maintain laboratory stock. Typical duties of this profession: • Prepare and organize samples for laboratory testing • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments accurately • Record and analyze data to compile technical reports • Adhere to occupational health and safety procedures within the lab
