Sterilization Technician

Job description

Receiving the tools required to be sterilized, preparing sterilization materials, performing the sterilization and packaging process, and preparing and submitting work reports. The usual tasks for this profession: • Preparing the necessary lists to record the tools to be sterilized, receiving the tools and classifying them according to the material of manufacture and sterilization conditions • Determining the appropriate sterilization materials for the tools according to the instructions and preparing them in the appropriate quantities and preparing the tools for the sterilization process • Inspecting and operating the sterilization devices and conducting the sterilization process and monitoring it according to the specified period of sterilization and the instructions of the supervisor • Packaging the sterilized materials and delivering the equipment and tools after sterilization according to the approved principles and procedures • Preparing and submitting work reports, documenting and archiving them
