Scientific Medical Advisor

Job description

The Scientific Medical Advisor provides scientific support to the MENAT field team, the regional medical affairs head office team, and key opinion leaders. The role enhances the company’s reputation with healthcare professionals and delivers required medical information for patient benefit. Responsibilities: Identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs and scientific experts; share information with field and head‑office teams; deliver high‑quality medical and scientific communications per corporate and BU plans; create and execute a center of excellence engagement plan; support medical and commercial teams in developing local medical tactics; organize scientific advisory boards; work with patient access teams to support market access, pricing and reimbursement; contribute to medical‑scientific activities locally and regionally; provide feedback during business development due diligence and competitor analysis; supply input to regional medical programs ahead of launch; attend local, regional and global congresses and symposia; facilitate and manage named‑patient use; ensure completion of required training on local regulations; propose, implement and monitor the regional medical action plan; provide proactive input to brand strategy and budget; respond to medical queries; ensure ongoing medical training of field teams; validate team’s medical information; collaborate with field teams on public relations and symposia; liaise with patient advocacy groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a medical field (Pharmacy, Medicine)
• postgraduate degree in a medical field preferred
• minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL)
• experience within GCC markets including Saudi Arabia advantageous
• proficiency in written and spoken English
• Arabic proficiency a plus
• proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• demonstrated ability to manage diverse portfolios and meet medical KPIs
• strong operational discipline and execution skills

• experience in haematology and rare diseases desirable
