Job description

About the role the employer is looking for an interpreter to join its team. The interpreter is responsible for translating conversations and statements at various events and media outlets immediately and accurately, while adhering to honesty in conveying the speakers’ statements. The role also includes preparing and archiving specialized documents and reports in the field of interpretation. Main tasks and responsibilities: Study the origins, grammar, and terminology of the mother tongue in terms of synonyms, morphology, and grammar, in addition to studying the foreign language in terms of its vocabulary, structures, and derivations. Conducting simultaneous translation of speakers’ interventions in seminars, conferences and workshops. Implementing simultaneous translation of political statements or interviews with individuals in specific programs reported in the media. Keeping abreast of developments in terminology used in both the mother tongue and the foreign language into which the translation is being done. Preparing specialized documents and reports in the field of interpretation and storing them in the approved database, in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience: Experience ranging from in the field of interpretation or a related field. Full proficiency in Arabic and English (or other required languages) spoken and written. The ability to interpret accurately and honestly. Work Environment This role is a full time position. The interpreter works within a dynamic environment that requires quick response and accuracy in conveying information across different languages.
