Logistics Officer

Job description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Logistics Officer to manage customs documentation, clearance and compliance for import/export operations in the UAE and GCC. Responsibilities include preparing, verifying and submitting accurate customs documents (invoices, air waybills, packing lists, HS codes) in line with UAE regulations and international standards; using JDL and other customs platforms to ensure compliance with UAE, GCC and international trade laws; calculating and processing duties and taxes accurately and ensuring timely payments; preparing invoices for duties, taxes and clearance fees and coordinating with finance to resolve disputes; serving as the main client contact for customs procedures, duty obligations and shipment updates; monitoring shipments from port to warehouse, managing GCC cross‑border logistics and coordinating truck allocation and tracking.

Requirements

• Proficient in preparing customs documentation
• proficient in using JDL and other customs/billing systems
• knowledge of UAE customs regulations, GCC trade laws and HS code classification
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or related field
• proven experience in logistics, customs clearance and trade compliance in the UAE
• excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills
• ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
