Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor

Lead and guide housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces meet the employer Red Sea luxury standards. Responsibilities include supervising all public area cleaning, developing daily task lists and schedules, ensuring high‑traffic areas are ready for arrivals and events, providing on‑the‑spot coaching and reinforcing brand standards, managing equipment and chemical usage safely, coordinating outsourced maintenance services, maintaining inventory of cleaning equipment and consumables, assigning tasks and monitoring staff performance, inspecting rooms and public spaces, conducting training on cleaning methods and safety, managing supply ordering within budget, resolving guest cleanliness complaints promptly, preparing departmental reports, conducting quality inspections to uphold the employer and Forbes 5‑star standards, developing training programs and onboarding new members, monitoring linen and amenity stock levels, liaising with Front Office and Engineering for seamless service, supporting health and safety compliance, handling lost & found, deep‑clean projects, and VIP arrivals, and responding to guest service requests professionally.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field
• minimum 2 years experience in luxury hotel housekeeping operations
• at least 1 year in a supervisory or coordinator role
• experience with Forbes or 5‑Diamond service standards preferred
• familiarity with PMS (Opera) and housekeeping management systems
• good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards
• familiarity with housekeeping schedules and shift planning
• basic knowledge of inventory control for cleaning supplies and equipment
• experience handling guest requests and maintaining service standards in public spaces
• good communication skills in English
• additional languages a plus.
