Job description

The Host/Hostess warmly welcomes guests and escorts them to tables at the employer dining outlets, ensuring an elegant and smooth arrival experience. Manages reservations and table assignments, coordinates table flow with service and kitchen teams to optimize capacity and efficiency. Monitors dining area readiness, cleanliness, and ambiance, handles guest inquiries and special requests professionally. Communicates effectively with service staff about table status and guest needs, assists in peak-time seating to reduce wait times and ensure satisfaction. Maintains accurate reservation records using the restaurant management system, supports VIP guest recognition and upholds personalized service standards. Handles guest complaints calmly and escalates when necessary, ensures compliance with service, grooming, and presentation standards. Coordinates with restaurant supervisors and managers for smooth operations and helps promote restaurant offerings and events as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• hospitality training an advantage
• 1–2 years of experience in guest service, front desk, or F&B hosting role preferred
• basic understanding of restaurant operations and guest flow management
• familiarity with reservation systems or POS/booking platforms an advantage
• fluency in English required
• additional languages an advantage
