Senior Interior Designer

Job description

The primary duties include designing and developing interior concepts, assessing client requirements, determining optimal furniture placement, and selecting decorative items, all while adhering to relevant building codes and inspection requirements. This involves preparing sketches, drawings, and floor plans, creating idea boards to communicate design concepts to clients, and selecting design strategies and color palettes to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environments. Additionally, it involves enhancing and improving interior spaces' functionality by modifying architectural elements and arranging furnishings, artwork, and decor, creating project budgets, establishing project timelines, and coordinating work activity with vendors and outside contractors.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
• Proficient in computer-aided design 3D MAX – Auto CAD
• Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics
• Solid knowledge and understanding of Contracts processes, policy, and systems
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to analyze problems and strategies for better solutions
• Understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interior
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
