Job description

the employer is seeking a Van Salesman - Confectionery for the Makkah region. The role involves driving a refrigerated van to visit existing and potential customers, presenting product ranges, taking orders, and ensuring timely delivery and merchandising. Responsibilities include managing daily sales routes, maintaining accurate records of orders, invoices and payments, monitoring van stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock, building strong relationships with store owners and buyers, implementing promotional activities, gathering market feedback on competitors and consumer preferences, performing basic vehicle checks, adhering to safety and hygiene standards, and collaborating with sales and logistics teams to meet sales targets

Requirements

• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia’s FMCG/food sector and knowledge of halal products is a plus
• proficiency in Excel
• proficiency in Arabic
• customer service experience
• effective communication skills
• knowledge of sales space planning
• proven field/route/van sales experience, preferably in FMCG or confectionery distribution
• valid Saudi driving license with safe driving record
• strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
• basic numeracy and record‑keeping for orders, invoices, cash collections and stock counts
• ability to work independently and manage time
• familiarity with Riyadh market and trade channels is an advantage
• good English communication skills
• physical ability to load, unload and display products
• high reliability, integrity and commitment to excellent service
