Senior Structural Design Manager

Job description

Leads and manages structural design delivery for large-scale residential developments from concept through detailed design and construction support. Manages and reviews work of external design consultants and engineering partners. Ensures compliance with Saudi Building Code, international standards, and project-specific requirements. Coordinates structural design activities with architecture, MEP, infrastructure, and other disciplines. Reviews and approves structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions. Identifies design risks and implements mitigation measures to support project delivery. Monitors design progress against schedules and budgets. Provides technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior engineers. Supports value engineering initiatives without compromising quality, safety, or performance. Participates in design reviews, workshops, stakeholder meetings, and technical presentations. Provides construction-phase support including RFI responses, design clarifications, and site issue resolution

Requirements

• Strong experience with reinforced concrete, steel structures, high-rise residential buildings, and residential communities
• Proficient in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro and similar tools
• Proficient in Excel
• Proficient in SAP
• Proficient in stakeholder management
• Proficient in compliance with codes and standards
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Professional Engineering registration or chartership (PE, CEng, ICE or equivalent)
• Minimum 15 years experience in structural design and engineering
• At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing large residential or mixed-use developments
• Experience with major developers, engineering consultancies, or giga projects is highly desirable
