DevOps Engineer Intern

Job description

the employer is redefining modern cybersecurity with the Nexus AI SOC platform and Smart MDR services. The platform helps organizations cut alert noise, respond to incidents faster, and stay compliant with frameworks such as SAMA, NCA, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS. As a DevOps Engineer Intern you will learn by doing, working alongside senior engineers to provision multi‑cloud infrastructure, keep Kubernetes environments healthy, configure GitOps pipelines, and support cloud security operations. Your automation, documentation, and troubleshooting will directly improve platform reliability from the first weeks

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field
• basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (GCP, AWS or Alibaba Cloud)
• comfortable with Linux command line and basic scripting in Bash or Python
• foundational knowledge of containers and Docker
• grasp of core networking (IP subnets, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, VPNs)
• eager to learn GitOps, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• bonus: exposure to Kubernetes via Minikube, Kind or k3s
• familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins
• early experience with Terraform or infrastructure scripting
• hands‑on work from university projects, open‑source contributions or a personal home lab.
