Senior Backend Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team to build exceptional products for our customers. This role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment to develop new experiences, enhance existing products, and build distributed systems that power the largest travel e-commerce platforms in the Middle East. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Create design documents, perform program coding, and execute testing following the Agile methodology. Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Develop well-written, testable, and efficient code. Collaborate with functional, testing, and data teams while facilitating knowledge transfer. Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Java development, ideally in an e-commerce company
• Excellent understanding of Microservices/Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Experience in designing databases, SQL, and NoSQL
• Proficient in building web services using Spring and Hibernate
• Experience working in an AWS environment
• Knowledge of the Node.js framework.
