SME - Senior Road Expert Highways Design

Job description

The Senior Highways Design Subject Matter Expert will act as a technical authority and trusted advisor across multiple highway projects. Responsible for delivering robust, standards‑compliant, safe and constructible designs, coordinating with other disciplines, reviewing deliverables at all stages, ensuring compliance with Saudi and international standards, managing risks, and providing technical guidance to authorities, partners and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree preferred
• at least 15 years of highway and road design experience
• minimum 5 years experience on Middle East projects
• strong knowledge of highway geometric design
• proficiency in pavement engineering
• knowledge of road drainage design
• experience in junction and interchange design
• expertise in value engineering and design optimization
• knowledge of road safety and roadside design
• experience working with approving authorities in KSA
• proficient in AutoCAD
• proficient in Civil 3D
• proficient with BIM platforms
• proficient in AutoTURN or equivalent swept path analysis tools
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent registration
• more than 10 years experience in Middle East/KSA highway projects
• direct experience supporting construction and delivery phases
• client‑facing advisory experience is an advantage
