Rolling Stock Lead - Rail

Job description

We are seeking an experienced professional in rolling stock maintenance and condition management to join our organization in Riyadh. You will lead the maintenance team, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will develop and implement planned maintenance and condition management strategies. You will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime. You will analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify trends and optimize schedules. You will manage maintenance budgets, resources, and procurement efficiently. You will coordinate with operations, engineering, and safety teams for seamless integration. You will establish and enforce maintenance standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. You will monitor rolling stock condition through inspections and diagnostics using condition‑based techniques. You will develop and maintain maintenance documentation and training materials. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and apply best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in rolling stock maintenance or rail fleet management
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience managing maintenance teams and operations
• Extensive knowledge of planned maintenance and condition management (PMCM) principles and implementation
• Strong expertise in rolling stock systems, components, and maintenance requirements
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Solid understanding of rail industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to analyze maintenance data and utilize analytics for process optimization
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities focusing on performance and development
• Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation
• Knowledge of predictive and condition‑based maintenance techniques
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Preferred experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Preferred experience in the Middle Eastern rail or transportation sector
