Occupational Health and Safety Technician

Job description

Responsibilities: conduct daily inspection tours inside the plant to identify hazards and follow up on corrective actions. ensure workers comply with safety requirements and use personal protective equipment. monitor safety procedures during operation, maintenance and production. participate in risk assessments and investigate accidents and injuries. track work permits for hazardous jobs and isolation procedures and power shut‑offs. prepare occupational health and safety reports and follow emergency and evacuation plans. implement safety awareness and training programs

Requirements

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent technical qualification
• at least 1 year of practical experience in industrial safety within factories
• proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office applications
• ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively
• preferably holds OSHA 30 Hours certification
• preferably holds First Aid certification
• preferably holds Fire Fighting certification
• preferably holds Risk Assessment certification
