About the Role the employer is looking for a SS Construction Manager/Electrical Project Manager to lead the construction and implementation of High Voltage/EHV substation projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in the field. Purpose of the Role The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all HV/EHV substation projects are delivered in full compliance with SEC standards and requirements, approved drawings, project specifications, HSE standards and specified project timelines. The Manager will oversee all electrical construction activities from planning to delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all electrical construction activities for HV/EHV substations. Supervise the installation of critical components including transformers, GIS/AIS, switchgear, circuit breakers, CT/PT, protection and control systems, SCADA, AC/DC systems, and grounding. Plan and monitor construction activities, schedules, manpower, material procurement and resource allocation. Ensure that all work strictly conforms to SEC standards, approved drawings, project specifications and applicable IEC standards. Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, T&C and sub-contractors teams. Review method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and other technical submissions. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement necessary recovery actions. Coordination of operations a For inspection, testing, commissioning, activation and final handover of the project. Manage subcontractors to ensure productivity and resource availability. Liaise directly with SEC/client representatives and consultants for approvals, inspections and technical issues. Quality control, non-conformance reports (NCR) and puncture points, ensuring timely closure. Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to project management. Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety protocols, Permit to Work (PTW) regulations and all HSE requirements. Candidates must have the required 5-10 years of experience managing the construction and implementation of HV/HV substation projects, with a strong understanding of SEC standards and electrical safety protocols. Work Environment This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves leadership and coordination across various project teams and external stakeholders.
