Appian Technical Lead / Solution Architect

Job description

We are looking for an Appian Technical Lead / Solution Architect to own end‑to‑end solution design and delivery of Appian applications for a leading Saudi bank. You will lead a team of Appian developers, integration engineers and QA, and serve as the design authority for the Appian platform. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into Appian architecture, setting coding standards and reusable component libraries, defining deployment architecture with infrastructure and security teams, designing integration patterns with core banking, CRM and document systems, leading estimation and sprint planning, ensuring non‑functional requirements such as performance and scalability, conducting the employer reviews and production readiness sign‑off, representing the platform in architecture review boards and audits, and coaching the Appian team.

Requirements

• 12+ years total experience, including 7+ years hands‑on with Appian
• at least 3 years in an Appian lead or architect role
• Appian Certified Lead Developer (mandatory)
• deep expertise in Appian process models, records, interfaces (SAIL), expression rules, Data Fabric and security groups
• solution architecture for enterprise BPM/low‑the employer in a bank or regulated institution
• integration design with REST/SOAP, Connected Systems, Web APIs, messaging (Kafka/MQ) and file‑based integrations
• strong RDBMS knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MariaDB)
• Appian deployment, DevOps and release management (compare‑and‑deploy, CI/CD, version control)
• awareness of banking regulations and controls (SAMA, NCA ECC, PDPL)
• strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
• TOGAF or cloud architecture certification (nice to have)
• Java plug‑in development
• Appian RPA
• Saudi banking project experience
• Arabic/RTL interface delivery.
