Public Finance Accountant

Job description

We are hiring! The position is for a Saudi General Accountant. The main responsibilities include recording and maintaining daily accounting transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning/Accounting system. Preparing and posting journal entries, accounts payable, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments. Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts. Performing bank, customer, vendor, and other balance sheet account reconciliations. Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Verifying invoices, supporting documents, and payment requests before processing. Following up on customer receivables and vendor pending balances as needed. Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing activities. Preparing schedules and supporting documents for management reports and account audits. Assisting in preparing financial data and management reports. Ensuring proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records. Supporting Value Added Tax, Withholding Tax, and other legal reporting requirements. Coordinating with internal departments to solve accounting and documentation problems. Assisting external and internal auditors by providing required information and supporting documents. Performing other financial and accounting duties as assigned by the Financial Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree
• 1 year of experience
• membership in the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA)
• proficiency in English
