Job description

The Teacher Assistant supports classroom instruction and assists students individually or in small groups. Responsibilities include assisting the teacher with instructional support; performing routine clerical and administrative duties; providing basic health-related support as a Healthcare Facilitator; operating office and classroom equipment (typing, duplicating, A/V equipment); maintaining positive rapport with students

Requirements

• Good command of the English language
• ability to type accurately and use standard equipment
• minimum 60 semester hours of post-secondary credit or 2 years of academic training
• 3 years of work experience
• preferred experience as a healthcare facilitator or nursing background
