Planning Engineer

Job description

Join the employer site‑based construction supervision team for a major public realm development in Diriyah, comprising iconic parks, open spaces, and over 55 km of streetscapes. Build robust logic, calendars, and coding structures and align interfaces across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning. Establish and control schedule baselines, perform regular updates, progress measurement, and variance/trend analysis. Conduct critical path analysis, run what‑if scenarios, and recommend recovery or acceleration strategies. Prepare resource‑loaded schedules, analyze and level resources, identify bottlenecks and coordinate resolutions with discipline leads. Support schedule risk assessments, document assumptions, quantify impacts, and track mitigations. Prepare time‑impact analyses for approved changes and delays and assist with claim documentation. Produce clear dashboards and reports for leadership and clients, facilitate schedule reviews and look‑ahead planning. Mentor junior planners and improve tools, templates, and procedures.

Requirements

• Develop, integrate, and maintain Level 1–4 schedules and updates to the Integrated Master Schedule in Primavera P6
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7–10 years of progressive planning/scheduling experience on multi‑disciplinary projects
• Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 and working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel
• Experience with resource‑loaded scheduling and cross‑functional coordination
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Professional certifications such as PMI‑SP, AACE PSP, PMP (or equivalent)
• Experience with schedule quality and risk tools like Deltek Acumen Fuse/Risk or Primavera Risk Analysis
• Familiarity with DCMA 14‑Point Assessment and AACE Recommended Practices
• Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for schedule dashboards
• Data modeling/SQL knowledge is a plus
