Senior Power Supply Engineer

Job description

You will manage traction power supply system construction, ensuring work follows approved drawings, specifications, procedures and standards. Provide technical leadership, develop calculations, models and designs for railway power systems, conduct simulations and site inspections, and lead installation, testing and commissioning. Prepare technical proposals, reports, cost estimates and presentations for stakeholders, and ensure designs meet safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering traction power and railway electrification systems on major infrastructure projects
• comprehensive understanding of national and international railway power standards
• knowledge of overhead catenary and third‑rail systems
• experience conducting load flow, short‑circuit and protection coordination studies
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• minimum 15 years experience in traction power supply system engineering
• strong knowledge of HV and LV railway power networks
• experience designing and implementing AC and DC traction power systems
• experience with 600V/750V DC substations and 25kV railway electrification
• knowledge of frequency converters, stray‑current mitigation and wayside cable infrastructure
• experience with circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, rectifiers and protection systems
• strong knowledge of SCADA, PLC and railway protection systems
• leadership, technical reporting, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills
• knowledge of power electronics, control and protection systems.
