Job description

The role is for a Structural Steel Inspector at the employer The job requires working with the Quality team, Structural Engineers, Construction teams, contractors, fabrication facilities, third-party inspectors, and consultants to ensure that structural steel works meet the required quality, safety, dimensional, and technical standards. Tasks include inspecting structural steel fabrication, welding inspection, verifying material compliance, and inspecting bolted connections.

Requirements

• Proven experience on major construction projects · Good understanding of drawings, specifications, ITPs, welding documentation, and inspection procedures · NDT qualifications such as UT, MT, PT, or RT are advantageous · AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is highly preferred · CSWIP Welding Inspector certification is an advantage · NACE / AMPP Coating Inspector certification is an advantage · ISO 9001 Internal Auditor / Quality certification is preferred · Relevant professional engineering certification is an advantage
• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural steel inspection, fabrication, erection, or construction quality control
